March 4, 2008 Tuesday. 2:36am. The Quiambaos welcomed their new bundle of joy— Lana Rhian, fondly called Tamtam by proud parents Rodel and Lot and Ate Iza. She weighed in at 5 pounds and 7 ounces. Let’s give a warm welcome to our newest KiNZe kid! She’s a month old today (well, yesterday for those in Manila/Singapore). =)+

From Cris Sheridan’s (Pye’s sister) email on November 5, 2007 announcing the arrival of Sean and Pye’s baby boy:

“I wanted to let you all know that Logan Sean Allen was born today, Monday, at around 10:45am ET. Pye was scheduled to be induced Tuesday but I think Logan wanted to do it his way. Pye and Sean went to the hospital Sunday night. Pye began pushing Monday morning at 6am, but Logan decided to come out the easy way via c-section! He is 7lbs 15oz and is 20 inches long. Mom and baby are doing well….and so is Dad! They are in the Hackensack hospital. “

“Here are some photos of Baby Logan with the happy Dad and Mom.”

KCT on Web 2.0 October 20, 2007

Hello, KiNZe! It took awhile for me to convince myself that moving the KiNZe CyberTambayan out to a third party blog service is the best way to go. After all, why keep the old format when we can make the most out of Web 2.0, right?

In the old setup, I am the bottleneck. It takes awhile for me to update the website as I setup each article to post. In this new setup, we should be able to quickly post a story through a blog. Pictures could be linked from your own online album. Since WordPress.com only limits the KCT with 50 Mb of space, we do not encourage direct image uploads to this blog. 50 Mb is a lot for text and a few bitmaps to enhance our KCT.

As for the logbook, any comment you post on an article counts as a logbook entry. So in this set up, there really is no need for a logbook.

For legacy purposes, I will maintain a link to the old KCT website, but we will not allow any more updates to the logbook.

When we outgrow WordPress.Com, I will reconsider moving KCT again to a separate installation of WordPress in a dedicated server, but for now let us enjoy the reliability of a third party server.

After all, what matters is that we have a means of keeping in touch, right?
